I got a trim with the dominicans last week. I am protective styling for a year (braids), but have had my hair out for the past 2 weeks. Usually it is breaking left and right when I have it out...but I have had almost no broken hairs the past week. It is amazing. I play with my hair, pull my hand out and theres no hair on my hand...its so great!!!! lol

I was in dyer (sp?) need of a trim too lol.
But I wont be getting one till the end of the summer (1/2 inch) cuz im trying to retain some length lol

I agree! I just got a trim and my breakage has decreased a lot!

Its crazy....like I virtually have NO breakage....and i used to be the queen of breakage...im so happy now!

Yeah when I get breakage Sometimes it's because I need a trim. Then Poof! Breakage is gone!

I agree wholeheartedly. I've tried to go the no-cutting route, but my hair ends up a mess. I have to trim regularly.

Yes, I agree. Folks get so scared of trims because stylists wack off 12 inches and call that a trim, but if it is done correctly it is wonderful.

I totally agree!!! Your cutting away all that dead hair, its like having a fresh new start for healthy hair. I cut most of my bone straight relaxed hair off because I am transitioning to texlaxed hair, and my hair could not be any happier right now! :yep:

All hair is dead and if you have damaged hair that is breaking off than of course cutting some off will make a difference.

I trim regularly also, but I just don't trust anyone to trim my hair. I now do it myself. So for those who are scared of trim, please try self-trimming; its makes a difference
