trimming split ends

Is the method of trimming split ends where you twist the hair and cut the hairs that stick out an effective way of trimming split ends? What results have you gotten from that methoud? Are they actually the split ends? TIA

I just got my split ends trimmed off,and would also like to know how to tame the smaller ones. I don't know the answer...but i can give ya a little *~bump*~

I've never heard of this method. I'll try anything besides a scissor happy stylist!!!

I read about this yesterday when exhausting a link posted on this forum. I haven't tried it but hopefully someone has and will give up the 411. That technique sounds interesting as well as other things on that site.

I don't this method, I simply section my hair and then hold it up to the light and snip of the split hairs. It can take anywhere from an half to full hour to do my whole head, but my hair feels much smoother afterwards. I do this maybe once a month, I also trim my hair evey 8 weeks but in 2004 I will stop trimming (I will just snip split ends).
