Ok I know I'm impatient- but I figure others would want to know too, I need to straighten my hair myself and make it look :gorgeous: like yours.

Natural: Whipz (Rabs feel free to chime in anytime) can you give a step by step (don't be shy to create a picture tutorial:grin:) of how you get your natural hair that shiny straight and bouncy?

Jenteel- I figure the closest to my hair type with colour :) how do you do it, I read your fotki - but umm...mine came out a big ole poof

SerenityBreeze- the Caruso Queen , so how do you get those lovely curls, your hair still looks textured so I figure its not bone straight?

Ladies any products(just types serum, conditioner etc) and or techniques extremely helpful

You could also mention maintenance of the style in humidity. Anyone else with useful suggestions greatly appreciated I've only got today and tomorrow morning to get any products and or appliance to figure this out

*Patiently Waiting* not really but don't want to scare them off :look:

Tools for pressing
Blow dryer
Pressing comb
MAXIGLIDE flatening iron
BIOSILK serum

Step 1: After washing your hair, part it in about 8 sections( I actually wash my hair in sections too)

Step 2: Blow dry each section with ONE DROP of BIOSILK serum. Blow dry the whole head before moving on to step 3.

Step 3: Take very small sections of hair, and first pass over with a pressing comb, then with the MAXIGLIDE( Setting 5). The hair going through the maxiglide should already be straight...from the blowdrying and pressing comb. If its not already straight the teeth from the maxiglide will pull out your hair!

The pressing process alone (excluding washing time) takes me about 2.5 hrs. The most important thing is to press very SMALL sections at a time. Patience is key. Do not rush throug your head otherwise it will end up poofy. Another thing I have found out is wrapping the hair helps a WHOLE lot. I learnt how to wrap my hair from Macheriamour's site www.healthytextures.com. I realised my hair looks better by about day 3, because of wrapping my hair. I normally wear my hair in a bun during the week, and let it down on the weekends when I go out, so it lasts longer since i dont have it down all the time.

Let me know if you have any other questions. :)

I used Jenteel's method. I set my hair with Fantasia straightening gel mixed with a leave in. Then I flat ironed it. I've also had success with blowing my hair straight first and then flat ironing. I used the pink Fantasia serum for that.
