Tried and true or something new?

Maybe ya'll can help me out!

As reported a little while ago, I've found my staple DC: a mixture of Doo Gro Mega Long Reconstructor, Hollywood Carrot Oil Cholesterol Conditioner and some oils/glycerin/SAA/honeyquat and agave nectar mixed in. My hair is always left feeling soft, moisturized, strong and detangled!

HEAVEN!

I call it, "The Potion",!

Ok, so here's the dilemma: I plan to do a protein treatment in few weeks and I'm not sure if I should follow up with the Potion or with another Doo Gro product.

This product (not sure of the name) has zero protein (the Mega Long Reconstructor has SAA in it but I'm not too worried about it since SAA tends to be moisturizing as well as strenghtening) BUT it has emulsyfing wax in it and my hair is NOT crunk upon emulsyfing wax (please don't ask me why I bought it anway...I'm trying to kick my PJ-ism...really I am...).

So, should I stick to the tried and true or give the nameless product a chance to shine...or disappoint?

What say you?...

TIA!

Ai'ight, ai'ight:

I get the point. Ya'll are not going to enable me. Stick with the tried and true!
