Hi Yall!

I know this has been discussed a lot (okay what hasn't on here!) Does anyone have any additional tree braid pictures? I've seen Dontspeakdefeats's pics and they are beautiful! I'm looking for more pic examples because I'm really considering getting these...

Any pics, or additional info is really appreciated like cost, time involved, and amount of time they last.

Thanky

TigerLily,

Thank you for your post. They look beautiful on you! Your hair was human wasn't it? It's a very natural look. About how long did they last?

Here's a pic of my tree braids, the hair is curly though, not sure if this is a look you're willing to consider:

Yes, it was human hair. It lasted two weeks. When I washed it, the extensions wrapped around my hair like seaweed!!! That's why I suggested using synthetic hair. Or, use human hair and swab your scalp with SeaBreeze for 2-3 weeks.

When done properly, tree braids should last at least 6 weeks. I know it is kind of gross but tree braids are really not meant to be washed. YUCk!!

You can get them done anywhere from 85.00 to 140.00 and it usually takes a braider anywhere from 2 1/2 hours to 4 hours to complete them.

Make sure when you get yours done to get the braider to put a couple of rows of micros in the back so you can have more styling options.

Here's a pic of my tree braids, they are done using pre fabricated braids so it looks like I've got a gazillion braids. What's really nice is that no matter how long they're in, they NEVER look old. I usually wear mine for 5 or 6 weeks.
