How is that new growth coming in? Mines is so thick that I have to keep my scalp spritz in the freezer (so I can make sure it is touching my scalp) and pull my hair extra tight to get to my scalp when spraying it. What about you?

this will be week # 38 for me, i have tons of new growth as you can image an my natural hair accounts for about 40-50% of my hair now!

now alls i have to do is commit for one more year before i decided if i want to relax it..sigh one more year here i come

I'm having no problems with my new growth. I'm in my 11th month now and my new growth is silky and full of elasticity. I just comb it and it goes where I want. If I didn't have my broken frizzies, I wouldn't have a problem at all. I am amazed at how manageable my new growth is.

Now, I'm not saying I don't have any issues with transitioning at all. In fact, this past month, I airdry in two braids instead of a ponytail b/c it is just impossible to put my hair into a ponytail after washing in two sections. My relaxed hair is what causes the tangles. I am just learning as I go and doing what my hair needs to stay on my head!

My real issue lately is just feeling boring with wearing my hair back all the time.

It's only been 11 weeks for me so my new growth is fairly easy to handle- I only comb with conditioner in my hair. My relaxed hair gets a little tangled.

I think I'm about at 14 weeks (I wasn't counting because when I had my last perm I had no idea it would be my last perm

Anyway...
I'm having trouble, but not because of my new growth. It's because of my relaxed hair. It's dry, it's tangled, it breaks, it has knots on the ends, it's limp, and it's annoying.
My new growth is very soft, silky in some places. It tends to stay relatively moisturized and the comb glides through that part with no problem.
I really should do the big chop, but I'm not emotionally prepared for that. Less manipulation is key for me right now. I'm waiting for my surge in the mail to see if that helps.
