Transitioners: Is your hair trying to psych you out?

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else:

Ever since I firmly decided to go natural (via a maybe 8-ish month transition), I've noticed that my relaxed hair is "behaving" a lot more. It lies down smoothly (or as smoothly as possible considering the ng), less tangles, is just generally more co-operative than it has been of late. Perhaps this is due in part to almost daily co-washings (as it's summer, and I also train at least twice a day). Who knows?

Thought at first that maybe it was my relaxed hair trying to mess with me, to get me to relax again.
:lachen: Then I thought about it and realized that during high school (grades 7-12 where I'm from) when my hair was easily always at least APL, usually longer, I would usually just wet it in the mornings (either in the shower or spray it), and throw it back in one.

So ladies, my question to you all is, has anyone else found that their relaxed ends were trying to "psych them out" while they transitioned?

Perhaps my hair just really likes moisture...

Yep. But now my natural hair is acting funny. My hair is suddenly responding sooo well to my old conditioners and new shea butter, while my natural hair is like, "WTH? Get this ish off of me!" :lachen:
