do you notice a difference from using these? my hair feels funny after using one... but there is no "burnt hair" smell afterwards...

and do you notice a difference between one that has ceramic-coated plates, and one that has pure ceramic plates? *just curious* :look:

I notice that my hair is WAAAYYY straighter and shinier!

I don't know if it's the tourmaline or what.

But I love mine!

I wish I had actual brand names of the ones I have but I don't , I've used 3 'ceramic' flat irons, there was a black one with gold ceramic plates and the other side of the plates had a suede-like covering on them. My hair was always super smooth, soft and shiny after using it. The suede part started coming off and it'd catch on my strands so I had to get another one.
The other I found on sale at Marshalls and it looked great so I picked it up, this one has white plates and silver outer covering, whenever I've used this one my hair doesn't feel as good, When I feel the section I went over with it feels like, when you iron clothes and you don't have your clothes completely smooth and get wrinkled spots, it's almost as if it feels like that, I get crinked pieces and my hair felt brittle after words.
I've sinced replaced it with another gold plated one and it gives me that great smooth soft shiny look I love.

The one with the gold plates and suede covering sounds like a Jilbere. I have one now, but I just ordered my Solia and i can't wait to use it!

I used my pink FHI for the first time and my hair felt kind of "rubbery." It was hard to comb. However, I also used a new conditioner and leave in, so that might be the culprit. Nnext time, I am going to wash, CPR and flat iron with no product (after rinsing out CPR) and see how that turns out.
