I can't speak for the rest of you, but sometimes I've bought certain products thinking they were good when they really weren't. Is one ingredient really bad enough to ruin a whole product? Or is it too much to risk?

For me it depends on which ingredients are listed first on a product. Usually the main ingredients in a product are at the beginning of the list and are therefore more potent than those products listed towards the end of the list.
So if you find something that has Mineral Oil as it's first ingredient, it has more Mineral Oil than a product that has that ingredient listed last and therefore the latter product shouldn't be as pore-clogging.

Well okay so I bought "Africa's Best: Castor Oil" and I thought it was going to be a GOOD product BECAUSE it was Castor oil. But reading the ingredients today I saw the first ingredient was Petrolatum [erplexed ] . The rest of the ingredients looked pretty good. Part of this is just me being cheap but is it really too risky to use?
My daughter likes that product. I don't know if it works on my hair, but I prefer to just have real castor oil in my hair. You can buy a bottle of castor oil at the pharmacy for like $4 bucks and its 100% real castor oil.
Try it and if it doesn't work you can take it back if you bought it at CVS.
