I just went to my local Walmart and they had tons of the old formula and not a stitch of the new one

Aww man!! I was so happy to finally have a cowash I loved! :< I'll have to play that Target or my local grocery store still has the old ones. I know by now Walmart would have changed them out.

It looks like a new company is distributing/manufacturing the product. My old bottle says, Alberto-Culver, USA. I noticed the new bottle posted has a different company. I got this from my local Fred Meyers about a month ago - Ill have to see if they have more...

I used the new bottle just yesterday! I love it! Gave my hair such amazing slip. I could just slide my hands through my hair to detangle <---- & that has never happened to me before, I always have to use a comb! And I have used my fair share of conditioners.

I knew!!!!! it I knew something changed I also can't find these bottles in the nearly litre size either

Nice to see this thread. This is really disappointing for me. The old formula gave me amazing slip. This new formula made my hair feel coated, like a hair grease. I was able to put my hair in a bun while in the shower with the old formula. Now I cant :(. What is a girl to do now.

I picked up the new Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner at Wally World tonight and co-washed the perimeter of my hairline. Very soft and good smelling hair. :yep: I moisturized with Original Moxie Leave In and sealed with HH Coconut Yuzu Love. The smell is delicious. :lick: I'm looking forward to trying this on my full head on Friday. It's made by Unilever now... and the scent reminds me of an old Pantene scent (same company.) I'm going to check a few times to see if I have an allergic reaction to it. I tried Tressemme Color Revitalize and my skin became super sensitive and my face became sore to the touch.. :nono: but... my hair smelled and felt great.

Is this still curly girl friendly? I'm wanting to do more co-washing and I think this would be perfect (and cheaper) for me during the summer.

EDTA: I did not leave this in. I added it, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinsed it out completely.

I have always wanted to try this because Mahogany Curls used to use it, before she switched to As I Am Co-Wash. I'm currently using the As I Am Co-Wash.

It looks like Unilever bought out Alberto Culver. I wonder how long before they change the formulas to Nexxus which is another one of Alberto's previous brands. I don't use Nexxus, but I know a lot of ladies on the board do.

I noticed this too! I've tried the new formula on my hair - smells the same, same slip. But the ingredients make me cringe a little.

I'll just pretend the "bad" ingredients aren't there until I finish the bottle lol. Because I don't have an alternative at the moment :-(

I finally tried it. I agree the slip and smell are the same, but it didn't make my hair feel as soft as before. :nono:

ITA. The main culprits for me were the added Disodium EDTA and DHDM Hydation. It seems that all of the light conditioners contain these things. The only one that I have found that is free of these is Aveeno. I am going to try this, it has good ratings on Amazon.

Apparently, they have gone back to the old formula. I went to Wal-Mart to look for a new conditioner. I looked at the Tresemme out of habit. All of the new formula bottles were gone and the old formula bottles were there. I know that it was not just old bottles because the tops were different. Now it has a top like you would find on lotion a bottle.

That seems to happen to most of the hair products that people like, they get a new formula and it sucks, moral of the story, if your hair really likes something, buy it in twos or more because you never now when it will be gone (especially if it had been out for a while) now if its new and you like it then you probably can get away with buying one bottle at a time.

Oh wow! Thats great news. I just got 4 bottles of the old formula with the pump top last weekend and I thought I just got lucky. I really like the old formula. Its great for mixing with ayurvedic powders and mixing my own DCs

I notice that too. I bought some last week and the bottles are different (it has a pump which I like) but when I got home to see what ingredients have changed there weren't any changes. I hope they keep the old formula I love  that conditioner!!

I like both versions but the old one was a little thinner which was nice. I need some more. I'm excited about the pump!

I'm so jealous that you ladies have the old formula with a pump top - I have yet to see one of those.

I do hope that they are going to go back to the old formula. I really don't want to have to buy more expensive conditioners or make the trek to Trader Joe's for another brand without the ingredients I don't like.

My hair doesn't like the new one. It felt like I had just shampooed my hair. It was kinda squeaky like it does with shampoo and it didn't fell as moisturized as it does with the old formula. My hair doesn't like aloe vera juice in big doses so that might be why. I hope I can find the old formula still. I was surprised to see that the old formula has alcohol in it but it hasn't affected my hair at all.
