To the ladies who use Tresemme Naturals Conditioner

Hello, everyone!

I was in Walmart the other day buying another bottle of Tresemme Naturals Moisture Conditioner, and I noticed that some of the bottles looked different. My heart sank because I knew that probably meant there had likely been a formula change. There were also some of the older bottles there too. I compared the two and the ingredients were definitely different. I took some pictures (Sorry for bad quality, hope you can read them ).

Have any of y'all seen or tried the newer version? I hope it's still as good or better. Hair companies always messing with a good thing. :nono:

Aw man, now I am going to have to look up all the new ingredients on tightly curly website to see how they rate. Thanks for sharing!

Aw man..I got three bottles from walgreens.com a couple months ago and they have the green tops and the new formula. I used it once and when rinsing it made my hair hard and seemed like it coated my hair a bit. I just remember having to use another conditioner to soften my hair. Hopefully others will be able to comment on how it worked ..I have never tried the old formula.

Well I was thinking maybe it wouldn't be that bad because it looks like they moved the avocado oil up, but they also added a lot of other stuff so I dont know.

Hey WarriorGirl, I just checked and I have the new one (which is the 1st pic) its great. Smooth and no problems. I'm 4a. 19 Jun one year natural. Yeah.

I have the old bottle and will not be purchasing the new one because it has ingredients that I do not put in my hair. Man, I'm mad! I loved it! Maybe I can find some old bottles and stock up on those...

I never tried the old version but the newer version works great - great slip, moisturizing and scent is lasting which is nice.

sunnieb, seems that I recall you're a Tres fan. Any old vs. new formula difference?

Awwwww WHY? this has never happened to me before.

Eta: I just checked my bottles and I think I have the new ones already. I haven't noticed much difference

I cant comment on the old formula as I haven't used it but I do like the new formula. It works great for me as the c in the LOC and I use it to cowash daily with

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

:(

ETA: I had to get over the initial shock... I finally have all my products all set, and now they do this. I guess I'll give it a try. Luckily I have about 6 bottles of the old stuff for now.

Actually I just got my bottle out and looked at the ingredients. Because I'm in the UK they are different but the list on the back on my bottle resembles the old formula more. Its such a shame that they decided to fix what wasn't broken

Do the new formulas have a brown label instead of a blue one? Or is it just the ingredients that are different?

I bought that bottle two weeks ago and, afaik, no store in my area is stocking the new formula. Hopefully it won't catch on :look:

:pullhair: Say it ain't so!

The first time in 5 years that I find an AMAZING daily conditioner that's affordable, no parabens, silcones, or DMDM hydantoin, and they've changed the formula.

Off to the store and try to stock up on the old formula.

Thanks for the heads up, WarriorGurl23.

ETA: No luck. I tried two stores and both have the new formula with DMDM Hydantoin and the old one doesn't. It's a sad day for this hair junkie...

Say it ain't so! I'm going by Big Lots to see if they have some overstock of the old version (you never know)

Haven't tried the new one yet, but I did notice the old label in the pic says "USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC INGREDIENTS: ALOE VERA AND AVOCADO" I don't see that on the new label in the picture.

Just an observation. Don't know if that's important to anyone or not.

This is the second time they changed the formula for Tresemme Naturals. I love this as a co-wash. Guess I have to stock up!

Beamodel Yeah the first time they changed it was for the better IMO. Hopefully this time will be the same.

I went to 2 Walmarts in my area today and both have now completely sold out the old formula. I'm trying to push it as far as I can before I have to buy a new bottle and possibly be disappointed. I don't know what would be able to replace it. It's easy to get, cone-free, low-cost, and a multitasker b/c it works great for me as a detangler, cowash, rinse out, DC, and leave in.

This is why when I see a good thing for my hair and its a good deal I get two or four bottles. Reformulations are something else...

What's up with DMDM hydantoin?

^^^ Yes, I remember reading that it can/may release formaldehyde into a product. I avoid it and parabens as much as possible.

Trader Joe's Nourish Spa or their Tea Tree Tingle? Only if you have a TJ near you, I guess.

Have you tried Amazon to see if they still have the old one available for order??
