folks cant even have their folders locked without having a premium account.
now ppl dont have to beg for pw's
gos to look at some previously locked fotkis:giggle:

p.s i dont think its fair that a sista cant even view her guest, or any avi's without clicking on the profile........i still like fotki though:drunk:

:grin:Yep, I agree. I've never asked for anyone's password. I do understand why some lock them b/c some moron doesn't have sense to look but don't touch or says something stupid. But its annoying to me :wallbash:and I'm not begging to see anyone's hair. For everyone that locks their album, there's 2 more that don't and can help me just as much!:drunk:

thats what it said when i made a new album that was public and its a little blank spot where it shows make a pw and it says that only premium users can lock albums. and i sure am not paying 32 dollars a year just to lock an album.


if u go to photos and hit make a new album you'll see that it says premium users can only lock albums.


i do understand why ppl lock them though. ppl love to steal pics and they float around the net like no ones business.especially face pictures
 
Hmm...I've run across some pretty freaky (non-hair people) albums. I PRAY that they've kept those locked or the people upgraded :ohwell:
 
Yes, I have noticed that they are slowly taking away feature after feature. I'm sure the request for additional storage space will be on the block next.

i'm in the process of moving my account to pb now.Just in case they plan on erasing free albums soon.
 
The ones that are locked will stay that way, but u can't lock any future albums w/o a premium acct.
 
I'm glad I unlocked all my albums a while ago and removed all the pictures with my face. There are pics with my face out there anyway...

What other online photo albums are there? I know about Imageshack...
 
This is just too bad. I really like fotki....but I refuse to pay for it. I already pay for flickr, so I may just move my pix to flickr if fotki continues to take things away.:ohwell:

Oh good..I was wondering cause all of mine are still locked. I will just keep adding pictures to the existing albums I have and just make the titles more generic and not create any new ones. There is more than one way to skin a cat hahaha....
 
I have a Photobucket that I use for everything, and I upload my pics to Fotki from direct links to Photobucket :rolleyes: ... I don't prefer Fotki, but everyone in here uses them and it's nice to have the social networking associated with it. However, I was NOT happy when I logged in recently after a little hiatus and found that I am no longer able to view "My Fotki" or change my theme anymore... :censored:

This is good to know. There is no way I'm paying for a premium account, so as soon as I see my locked folder unlocked, I will be removing all photos.

I do have Journals on "lock," but I noticed that a few of them can now be seen without a password or logging in. That doesn't really bother me, though, because I don't have anything confidential in Journals, but I had chosen to keep them private. :rolleyes: I'll be keeping an eye on fotki....

Me too! Always had one. :grin:

I'm not surprised though. With the number of photos that people take and upload on a daily basis, someone had to be paying for all that bandwidth...so Christmas couldn't last forever. I know I've uploaded 300 pics in one sitting, and I don't even take pics as much as a lot of people.
