Anyone know if the tightlycurly.com site is still around? I went to check it out today and it's not up.

Op, I tried to pull it up and it wouldn't load.
I haven't been on that site since I read her book.

Looks like either her server is down or she didn't pay her domain provider. I will not be able to tell for sure, until I check from a laptop or PC. Or, she could have taken it down. She previously made it were people couldn't leave comments and/or ask questions, because she got overwhelmed.

Did detangling with a Denman and doodling your hair work for you? It didn't for me. I lost too much hair with the Denman compared to my fingers and a seamless rake. Also, after two doodles I knew it would be a tangle nightmare, if I proceeded.

Wow, it was up the last time a checked, about a month ago.

I bought some of the products she suggested on her site around Christmas time. I've been a loyal Teri Laflesh follower for the longest. But maybe her life style is changed and she can't keep up the website anymore. Her website was like a portal into my long hair dreams.

I think what's good about the doodle method is that you can change it to fit your hair needs. I get occasional breakage from my Denman brush if I'm not careful. But thankfully my hair is thin and fine enough that I can do all of the hard work detangling with just my fingers. Most of the time I don't even need to use the Denman to define my curls. Forming the curls around my finger is enough. Using the brush is just a last stop finishing step if I want them to be super defined or if I come across a stubborn knot.

Her method works well on my kids. I was really looking to check out her product database. She had a lot of good info last time I saw it over a year ago.

Maybe you can find similar information in the old curly girl, tightly curl threads.

Maybe her website wasn't working for a little while, but it's back now. I just checked it out.

A lot of the products in her suggested gallery are either new formulas, new packaging or plain old discontinued. I hope she'll come back for a new list.
