How many of you ladies thought of using tiger balm as a growth aid? I have been thinking about it, I have the red one and I looked at the label and its ayurvedic and has natural ingredients. I'll post the ingredients in a minute.I am thinking of mixing with my mn, bt, and natures blessing. I noticed some of the ingredients are meant to increase blood flow to the area and stimulate circulation!!!, what do you ladies think. I think I'd rather use it then some "hair come back" cream.:lachen:

well I live in a predominantly mixed area mostly indian and chinese, so I find it everywhere. But you should be able to find it at any "ethnic" store. Usually if they sell incense and oils you should be able to find tiger balm. Its origional use is for aches and pains and massages. Heres the company website. http://www.tigerbalm.com/

heres another info link, it also lists the active ingredients and explains them
I do know vitacost.com sells it.

Just have to make sure non of the ingredients are harmful through the scalp.

Never though about that but I'm just thinking of the smell and I would the fresh feeling of my scalp

I never wouldve thought to use tiger balm on hair. That stuff is mega thick IMHO and doesn't spread easily so I wouldn't do it it. :nono: But good luck. :)

ETA: Mine only have two active ingredients: Camphor and Menthol. The others are inactive ingredients and it does not list the percentages. I believe the different countries have their own formulas. I have tiger balm ultra strength and tiger balm white. Just an FYI red or white can be several different versions. You need to go by the actual title of the version you are using not the color of the product. Since that may be misleading. I got mine at the health food store with the other sore muscle products.

I dont think it would harm the scalp, I have always used it on my temples for headaches. I plan on mixing it with other things, but I dont think it would be hard to apply. The white one doesn't have the intense smell

Just remembering how potent Tiger Balm was on aches and pains, not sure if I would want that same strength product in my scalp.

Yeah but it will make you smell like grandma or beat up sore dancers in dance studios lol. We live for tiger balm, although that may burn the crap out of your scalp! That stuff is POTENT!

Same here. :nono: It was so strong I thought it was going to burn my skin. I scrubed it off ASAP. I have very sensitive skin tho.
I would love to try it in a mix, but I am scared to.

Man, I remember the strength of this stuff from back in middle school! It really doesn't play! I wouldn't ever recommend it straight to anyone. Maybe if you diluted it with coconut and/ or castor oil it may work? Regardless I'd test in on a small patch of skin before trying it on your whole head....

My intention was to not use it straight but to mix it. I mixed it last night with BT, MN, and Natures blessing, I only used a little. I applied it this morning to my edges. I have a cooling sensation where I applied it. I didnt apply it to my whole head because I just co washed, but I will once I am all dry.
