Three Strand Twists

I'm just exploring possibilities and wonder if anyone can show me how 3 strand twists are done. I've seen some 'very' nice ones here.

If I remember correctly Irresistable has a pony with multiple twists in it in her album. It is gorgeous. She has her own Yahoo group too.

I just sent a reply to your PM too.

From the instructions, it seems like regular braiding to me, but it looks better. Perhaps I'm missing a step or something. I just can't figure out what because the iinstructions here are the same as 3 strand braiding...know what I mean?

No prob.

Well, with braiding, I bring each the strand to the middle. With twists, the strands are laid upon each other and turned. No strand is ever brought to the middle; they only wrap around each other.

I'm just not getting it yet. I wish there were a video on this or something.
All I did was tangle my hair.
