Looks nice! How long did it take.you? Hope you enjoyed your show

Thanks Doll!

I really don't know because I finished my daughters hair and thought that it would be a good idea to try on myself. This is my first attempt. If I had to guess, I'd say about 2-3 hours. I did it off and on throughout the day.

Gary Owens is sooo funny! I know he got in trouble a lot as a kid... Lol!

Sorry, I'm not really familiar threading. What does threading involve? Just wrapping thread around you hair? Sewing thread? It just looks like twists to me, from what I can see in those pics.

Yes, I just wrapped the thread around my hair. It stretches the hair. Not sewing thread but weaving thread. Yea, it does look like twist, but the hair is not twisted at all. It's like when ppl wear the fake or faux dreadlocks and they wrap weave around the hair to start the locking process.

You and your hair look beautiful. And Gary Owens is hilarious! Hope you had fun.

Your hair looks great! Please share more details on how the style was done.

I used weave thread (the kind used for see ins). I put a knot on the end and wrapped it around tightly around and knotted the end. It stretches the hair.

That is so beautiful. I want to try this on my little one's hair.

I styled my daughters hair and it came out great! That's why I even thought about attempting to try on myself.

girlsloveyourcurls on youtube has several lovely threadded styles she does on her girls !!!

I love it and I'm inspired to try this!

I've seen threading before but it was where the hair was completely covered in thread and styled. It looked stiff to me. But these look more pliable, like twists!

I like it! really pretty NaturalJael How long does this style last? This looks like a longer lasting alternative to braids/twists. I'm inspired to try, I stopped wearing twists because they unravel and get fuzzy after 4-5 days.

Oh my gosh, you read my mind. I started installing them earlier today after seeing the GirlsLoveyourcurls super stretch method. Tryna find a way to stretch my hair without heat and also wear a protective style that wont mat up on me within two weeks.

If you wrap the thread close together it will be stiff. Putting space between each wrap evolution makes it look more like a twist and makes it pliable.

Honestly, I have no idea how long it's going to last. I need it to last for the week or at least until Wednesday or Thursday. I haven't put anything on them yet so we will see... ☺

It definitely stretches the hair. I like that I can do a large chunk of hair at one time.

I took the thread out on Thursday. I kept them for 5 days and I could have kept them for at least a week longer. I didn't wet them. But if I was going to keep them longer, I would have put coconut oil on them. I really enjoyed them and I plan on doing them again tonight or tomorrow.
