How do you keep your hair sleek if you don't comb? I'm bunning now, so it's fairly simple using a boar bristle brush, but I wanted to know how y'all do it without your hair looking crazy. I need to know for when I'm not bunning or wearing a roller set. :)

TIA

Silk scarf, a small comb (to RAKE the outsides), and lots of moisturizer and oil.

no comb used at all between washings

for straight
-satin scarf, ntm silk touch, hair already styled and flat. Put scarf on every nite, get up take scarf off, smooth down with some ntm serum and go.
If I want it curly,
-just do 6 bantu knots, satin scarf, ntm silk touch, get up take out and go.

Mizanimami's baggie method (thanks mizani) with my leave in, coconut oil and silk scarf!!!!!

I do one of two things:

Apply Coconut and Castor Oil and smooth hair all around.

Or, wet my hair down (spray) of water, or Surge 14.

I massage my scalp at least 3 x's a week with Castor Oil/Cayenne Pepper cream, so this helps between washes. (If I use powdered Cayenne Pepper with Castor Oil, I have to wash it out.

I wear my hair in a loose bun. Silk scarf wrap or plastic bonnet at night.
