Those of you who henna for jet black hair

I'm relaxed and I don't want to use dyes or rinses to color my hair. I've been reading about the benefits of henna and I've decided to go on and do it.

I just want to know what your process is if you are relaxed, do you dye before your relaxer or afterwards? Will the relaxer strip your color?

Well to get jet black hair you'd have to henna and then indigo.

You should definitely go to www.hennaforhair.com because there is loads of information there. And there are a couple long henna threads here as well.

I had to henna first (4 hours) then use Indigo (about 1 hour)

But I would go to hennaforhair.com or mehandi.com for step-by-step directions. Its pretty messy, but I refuse to use hair dye.

BTW If you apply the indigo incorrectly your hair will come out BLUE. yes blue!
