They wanted someone who ALREADY had thick, long hair. The girl they picked had BEAUTIFUL, thick, relaxed hair that was just past shoulder-length. They gave her money and a year (?)'s supply of their products. Basically, for the duration of her contract with them, she could have and use all of their products. At least, with her, I knew it was her real hair.

I used to beg my mom for a relaxer as a kid and she'd yell at me for wanting one. I wondered why so was so mean, and didn't want me to have long ahir. Hehe, now I know why she wouldn't let my naive six year-old self use the relaxer!!![]()

A 2B wouldn't need a relaxer. I bet she never used the products. A good blowdry would get her silky straight. That is misleading.Crystal said:My best friend used to be one. She actually posts on the board, I'll tell her to come chime in but I can tell you that she has 2B hair. She told me some of the stuff they used to do and it sounded shady to me.
My gut feel about this subject is supported by Anky's statemens.anky said:And we know it's absolutely false (he can keep lying if he wants). The avalon people murdered my buddy's hair, who is a model. They permanently dyed her hair 7 times in one day and added pieces. She lost a lot of hair. To my knowledge, She signed an agreement saying that she couldn't sue.
I've had the photoshop program for years so I don't believe much that I see. It's really sad that on some hair product boxes that the models are obviously wearing weaves. They do it to enhance the look (what I call "lying" but oh well). Mascara wearers do the same thing also.
Actually, no hair type needs a relaxer. However, I personally know of someone who has type 2 hair and has a relaxer because she has super thick hair. Her hair is not relaxed bone straight, but a relaxer makes it much more manageable.AtlantaJJ said:A 2B wouldn't need a relaxer. I bet she never used the products.
