Currently I have a black rinse in my hair and this stuff is eating me up. I am talking about major itchies.I am about to go wash right now. I washed my hair Saturday and it like the itchies have moved back in. This happens every time I get a rinse, so I am going to try henna and indigo. Has any one else experienced major itchies and dandruff after getting a rinse.

Hmmm, well i havent used a rinse in YEARS (im talking, since high school), so unfortunately i have no advice.

It'll be interesting to see what others say.

Sorry i coudlnt be of more help, girl. :)

What is the name of the rinse? When I used Beautiful Browns, I had the major itches too. I use Jazzing now and have not had that problem again.

You know what, I don't even know. But I do know it was varying brands because I went through a few stylists and I saw different bottles each time. I suppose it just is some type of allergic reaction to a chemical in the rinse.

That happened to me also a while ago. I used Ms. Claroil (Beautiful Browns). But was odd, was I had been using it for years. Then all of a sudden I used it one day and my hear was itching like no other. I was dying. LOL

Jazzing did the same thing to me about 2 or 3 years ago. I would suggest keeping your scalp mosturized and clean.

It caused my hair to break. Good Luck!

This type of reaction is what made me switch to henna/indigo.

My head would itch so bad it would 'weep' sometimes.

No probs w/hen-digo!

I colored my hair with semi-perm and perm hair color for years and just recently had an itch attack and learned I was allergic to hair color. A rinse is a joke to me because I wear my hair wet and curly most of the time and have gray hair in the front. I'm researching Henna/Indigo now. I can't live with the gray just yet and I don't want to keep wasting my money on rinses.

When I had the itch attack I actually had to go to the doctor and get an antibiotic. Be careful. I used two different brands and tried a semi-perm and perm. Both times I had to get an antibiotic. I don't have any problems with rinses.

Thank you ladies for all your advice. I've wanting to try henna and indigo for some time now, so I guess now is the best time. I want that henna shine like you other ladies.:)
