I am currently waiting for my hair to reach the top of my bra strap in the back and reach my arm pits on the sides. This seems like the longest wait that I have experience throughout this whole grow out process. I think I am about an inch away at the most, but I know I need a trim badly and I want one so that I can wear my hair straight (meaning not so curled under) so that it looks longer. I think i am going to stop the blowouts and just get roller wraps and doobies too. I want to start using surge and start letting the shower mist my hair everyday. I really want to reach my goal by August. Could anyone who has gotten past this stage offer some advice?

It sounds like you are so close already you will definately be there by August

"stick to a regime and leave your hair alone" is pretty much Adrienne's advice. Before I knew it, I was brastrap (before the evil cut

) Trust me, by august u should be at your goal, and if not... we will still be here to support you

I'm no hair diva but my hair seems to thrive whenever I give myself a dusting trim. For my hair it seems to jump start growth when it's at a stalling point. I look at it as breathing life to the old ends.

Another thing that may help is to NOT focus on it. Turn your attention to more positive things like how great your style is, etc.

I've noticed that when I tend to focus on some things, they take forever. When I place the focus on something else, things happen before I even realize it and then it's like a small surprise of sorts...

Hey Lovelylocs,

why dont u check out what Allandra does. She went from ear lobe length hair to waist length from 1999 to 2002! I know everyone's hair is different but I believe it does help to get advice and talk to those that have achieved the long hair length along with health.
