This is a joke, right - $1,000 lace front wigs for everyday people

I wonder if the maintenance is included she mentioned coming in every 1-2 weeks to get it washed, LOL! That's crazy and they look like doll hair, not a good look at all. Esp for a 1k there's more enriching things you can do with your money than buy bad hair.

They obviously are not "everyday" people if they'd even give such a thought the time of day...:look:

Ohhhh THEY LYING!

LOL at everybody's unit costing a 1,000$ !!

And then look at the quality of it.. not worth a 1,000$ :nono:

and here i am tryin to find a good deal on a FHI runway that cost $360 and will last me for YRS, b/c i didn't want to pay that much for a hair product.

and here these chicks are paying $1,000 for a lace front weave that'll only last a few months..

WOW....stop the madness

and the sad thing is..i kno im more srs about my hair than they are :nono:

that "hair" looke crazy. i could see going to the bss and paying $20 but $1000. you have GOT to be kidding me.

That is just ridiculous. I have a hard time paying somebody $100 to do braids when I'm used to paying $50-$60 for braids...this is just a sad shame. These folks are banking off women who don't have the understanding....if they knew what we knew there would be questions for days....so how much does that cost? Where is that hair from? Who are YOU again? What kind of hair is this? lol!...I'd ask so many questions they would just tell me never mind and move on. Folks are doing too much. Shoot I got knock out some bills with that grand instead and buy myself a few products to ease my lil PJ heart.

I just realised that for 1k I could replace my steamer, pibbs, and maxiglide and buy all of my hair care products for a year....then after I was done with my hair I could treat myself to a nice dinner somewhere. WTH???? Are our priorities as AA women so jacked that we can afford to spend that much money to look bad??? I could understand if they looked flawless and you were perhaps suffering from alopecia or just had chemo but i think that i'd rather rock a fade and keep those dollars in my pocket. Cheap looking weave / wigs are not worth me eating pb & j for the next six months to pay for it...lol

:lachen:+

Kinda funny but I bet they did spend that much for those pieces of dead, ugly hair. How many times do we see women spend beaucoup bucks on their nails, their hair or some frou-frou outfit yet not spend the money or time to clean up their nasty, junky living quarters, buy some required tutoring for their failing child in school or receive proper heath care for themselves or family? I've seen some pow-pow decked out women seriously protesting paying at a much discounted rate.....$20.00 for the heath care payment they sorely needed {Mam, those bracelets on your arm will not save your uterus from cancer!}. Too, too many priorities are seriously messed up in the the black community.:nono:

I was at the airport a few days ago, the TSA lady had one on. I was 50 feet away and could tell there was something strange about her hairline, I figured it was a wig or lace front. When I got closer to inspect, I was correct. That was the first time I had seen one in IRL, I was not fooled at all.:nono:

I brought one.. i spent about $200..

if i tally up the cost of the hair i have in right now including sewing it in I spent about $600 on it.. but this is the 3rd time i have used this hair.. You can reuse the lace wigs up to a year, and if u apply it yourself it cuts cost

What is even more sad is that Chris Rock put this mess in a mainstream movie that will have millions believing that Black women are foolish enough to spend $1,000 on God awful wigs when they do not have that kind of disposable income. I cannot even blame him for asking what kind of jobs they had to spend $1,000 on a wig....an ugly wig at that.

The least he could have done is gone to a reputable lace wig shop like InvisiWig in midtown Manhattan. He lives in NYC for God's sake.

If this is the foolishness that is "Good Hair" then I will not waste 2 hours of my life seeing it.

The worst thing is that the women in India who grew their hair and sold it didn't get paid more than like $10 for a whole bag. Well Solange said she was spending $60 000 a year on hair pieces so I'm not surprised. Maybe I need to open up a hair shop, and I'll be a millionaire.

Did you notice the lady with the brown wig/weave on? That better not have been the $1000 weave/wig

AS MUCH as a product junkie you are.. there is no way in hell it would cost you $1000 of your pay check to beautiful long hair of your own

Do i dare to wonder how their hair looks like under all that...

yep...I'm sure there are "regular" folk that do that mess... lights probably about to get cut off, credit cards maxed, and fridge empty too....

I can't stand lace wigs... If celebrities have a hard time pulling them off, I don't know why regular folks think they can...every last one I've seen somebody wearing looks a HAM ...some people do way too much...Less is really more sometimes...

If i ever spent that much money on a wig it better be tight. It needs to grow when i cut it. wash and dry itself and last my entire life.:look:

That's totally ridiculous.

I spend money on hair products and wigs, but those things are unreal. If I'm paying that much money on a lace front, it better look like Rupaul's.

Hell you could take that $1000.00 and spend it on all the hair supplies you need to grow your own hair. Plus why would you buy a wig from someone whose own is a HAM. I don't spend that much money in a year, and I am a PJ :perplexed

I can understand spending decent money on a lacefront, if you have the money and it looks nice, but there are plenty of BSS wigs that would knock those out of the park.

I pay decent money for my weave hair from Extensions Plus and its been worth it. I've been using the same hair for 2+ years.

That's a bunch a bull right there, and this coming from someone that loves to wear hair accesories, lol. Those wigs look crazy, very unnatural IMO. I am thinking of all the appliances and hair products I could buy for 1K.
