This has been asked but I have my own questions.

Sorry, I know this has been asked but I really don't feel link resurrecting someone else's post.

I am considering transitioning from a 4b Natural to relaxed. Because 1) I prefer my hair straightened 2) I think I will manipulate less and therefore damange less if I relax.

So if you have any personal stories, tips, products or techniques that can be offered I am open to it.

I have some questions too:

1) Must the relaxer be pulled to the ends?
2) What size comb should I use?
3) If I want to do it myself how can I get a professional relaxer?
4) How long should I leave it on?
5) Should I prep my hair differently than suggested for a touch-up?

tia!

I would suggest you go to a professional to get virgin hair relaxed. A virgin relaxer isn't done the same as a touch up and if it's done incorrectly you could definitely do some damage to your natural hair. Because touch ups are done beginning at the roots. Virgin relaxers aren't.

Yeah, definitely got to a pro and let her know if you want to be texlaxed, bone straight... On my head, Mizani never gets me completely straight so you could try that.
