Thinking of switching to ORS, will it cause damage

My stylist currently uses Optimum relaxer(not sure if it's lye or no lye). I have very dry hair and after a relaxer it has very little sheen not a lot of bounce. After reading all the threads on ORS, I'm thinking of switching.

Will switching relaxers cause damage? Should I stretch for at least 3 months b4 I switch? Does it really matter? Thanks!

I dont think it damages the hair.

There are plenty of members here who switched to try different relaxers. I'm not saying to switch regularly but one time switching wont be bad.

Thanks. I haven't switched in a long time so I wasn't sure. I think I will switch I need something that will condition my hair and not cause a dry flaky scalp three days later.
