Hey ya'll (Paula Deen's accent from food network  ),

I came up with this fabulous idea. Since I want to grow my perm out but too afraid to do th BC. I was thinking:scratchch I would cut off about two inches and leave my braids in for two months.

Then let my hair breathe for about 2months.

And repeat until I am completely natural.

The thing is, I had extentions about two years ago and found it overwhelming to see all my hair coming out. My mother said that extensions are really bad and I decided that I would never again put extensions in my hair.

However, due to me wanting to cut my hair, and also leave it the heck alone...I thought about that idea.

So what do you guys think? Are extensions more harm then good? yay or nay on my idea please

Thanks.

extentions are good in my book. as long as you don't get them put in too tight, and keep your extentions well moisturized you'll be all good. i wear yarn braids myself, and love them. i redo them about every 2 months. they are a really effective & protective tool for growing long hair. the plan you described sounds like the crown & glory routine. so if you haven't already i'd recommend that site as well: http://www.growafrohairlong.com/ hth
