I know I have not posted in awhile... I have been so busy with school and work... but I am getting so tired of my hair ! Its getting longer, but shedding more and breaking (a little) as well. Is this still post partum shedding and can i get a break??? damn! I dont know what to do anymore, and it is thinning terribly :( and I am starting to feel like I want to chop it aaaaallll off and be natural. I need help :( I like the versatility of it being somewhat straight... so thats why I want to texlax... But somebody please help a sister out!

I am sorry about what you are going through. I wish I could offer you some advice. I think there was a thread a while back that I saw on post pardum shedding, you may want to do a search for it. I suck with using the search feature, or else I wouold have done it for you. It will get better, trust me, all of your hair will not be falling out. I know it seems that way now, I had some shedding after I had my little girl she is 9 mos now, it really wasn't that bad though. (At the time you couldn't tell me nothing) Yours may not be as bad as you think it is, I know because you are so attached to it, it may seem like it is though so, give it some TLC and let it be. Eat some good foods, but don't stress about it, because that isn't good for you. I know how can you not stress its YOUR hair right? Been there. much love.

Thank u :( this shedding is noooo joke! He's already 18 months now and it has been on and off since I had him. It really sucks, I just want to keep my hair and for it to be strong as well. No matter what I try, I get results temporarily then she sheds even more... My scissors are looking more appealing everyday.

Can you put your hair away for a minute to give it a break? I plan on getting a sewn in weave to sport for a couple of months. I want to get my natural hair to grow and thicken up more.

Yea that sounds good. Maybe braids. I know I swore off braids but I found out the culprit to the knots were hard protein conditioners and thats exactly what I did. My hair needs a rest badly

I feel your pain. I have a 13 month old and I could probably make a winter hat for her with all the hair I shed in the last couple of months :perplexed. I figured maybe this is old hair I'm not washing out completely because I'm natural. I considered texlaxing too. It's rare for me to run my hands through my hair and not bring out 3 - 4 whole strands. I'm not bald, but it's is aggravating. I can't tell if it's thining or not. I recently pressed my hair and it's subsided a bit.

Well thats good that it slowed down. Our natural hair is naturally thick so its hard to tell (sight wise) when postpartum comes around... But being bone str8, it is becoming more obvious... Thin Thin Thin. Yea I have stopped my mothers tub twice and they had to break out the draino each time lol Well I need some substance to my hair because its become seethrough when its airdried and thats how I know its getting bad.
