Thanks MonaRae for sharing this article. I especially liked this tip:
To keep your hair and scalp clean and follicles open, use aloe vera gel mixed with a few drops of jojoba oil. Buy aloe vera gel, 99% pure and pure jojoba oil. Put some aloe vera gel in your hand and add 4-5 drops of jojoba oil. Rub your hands together then rub this mixture into your hair. This mixture will keep your hair shiny and thick and your hair follicles open.

I know just what you mean Isis. That is the best part of the article!
I am washing my hair now and I plan to do this after my final rinse!

Thank you for posting! That article has a lot of truth.:yep: I have pore cleaning treatments regularly, and it works!

Some years ago, I had a bald spot after a bad relaxer. I found a stylist that got my hair growing again with pore cleaning treatments every two weeks. Now, that “weak” spot is all filled in and is the fastest growing part of my hair! So, every time I have a chemical treatment, I always have a professional pore cleaning treatment 1 week to 2 weeks later. Dudley Q makes a good scalp antiseptic I use at home as well. After reading the article, I think I’ll do a treatment this Wednesday before my CO wash.:scratchch

Thanks for posting the article. I've been clarifying my scalp every week for about a year now and have noticed a drastic improvement in the quality of my hair overall. I will try this method mid week to dry- clean my scalp.

I appreciate this too, but being a new person to all of this it's like oh my god ANOTHER thing I have to do????

It's so hard to sort through all of the information and figure out what's right for you, but then I guess I just answered my own question: I have to figure out whats right for me. But i definatley like this tip though. thanks!

Thanks mona! This is exactly why I don't put ANY products directly on my scalp :nono: I rely solely on my regular washing and conditioning schedule to keep my scalp clean and hydrated. :yep:
