I asked this question a while ago...the responses I received were:
Nioxin follicle booster
Surge 14
Nexxus biotin creme
ORS temple balm

Those are the products that were recommended for growth. I am currently using the top 3 (i'm desperate) ;)

I have surge and temple balm. I saw some results with temple balm but the surge is out performing the temple balm for me.

Do you sleep on the side that is thinning more than the other side? I remember reading a thread here years ago about sleep patterns, and it said that sleeping more on one side could affect the hair, I think it was due to circulation.

Oh that is so,so true. I can tell that my left side is better thanmy right. The left is longer.

I like the Profectiv Anti thinning creme but it can leave your line kinda gunky. It worked for me!

Basically the Nexxus Vitatress Line including:

Nexxus Biotin 'Poo, Conditioning Volumizer, & Biotin Creme.

Also try the Nexxus Diametress 'Poo & Headress Cond.

My hair line seems to be thinning also. I just purchased the biotin creme. I'll let you know my results. Could anyone tell me if Nioxin really makes your head shed or thin after discontinuing usage? Thanks.

Organic Root Stimulator Fertilizing Temple Balm is the only thing that I tried that actually made my edges grow back after get braids that were too small/tight. I highly recommend it! Its expensive but worth every dime...

I have tried Surge,Nexxus Biotin Creme,Profectiv Anti-thinning Creme and Nioxin Booster.
I received the best result with Nioxin saw within two weeks along with co washes,ORS uplifting poo and not relaxing area until there is enough newgrowth and scalp massages.

I never heard this before with Nioxin only with Rogaine. Nioxin products for thinning hair are really about keeping the hair clean and moisturized. If you go to their web site www.nioxin.com you can read about each one. If there is a reason for shedding (hormonal, stress etc.) and you stop using the products I would assume the hair would continue to shed until the internal problem is gone.

I am using Nioxin now and will be for the next 3-6 months because of post pardum shedding. Once I notice my hair has regularly stopped shedding I will probably use something else. I can definitely let you know then.

How do you wear your hair at night? Do you sleep on that thinning side the most???

I would suggest during your next touch-up (if you're relaxed) to not relax your hairline. Let it grow out to gain thickness so your don't have problems with thinning.

By the way, Surge Plus 14 and WGO helped with thinning around my hairline. ;)

Started having this problem a little while ago. Like the other ladies mentioned, I also stopped relaxing my hairline for a while and used the Nioxin products including their follicle booster(good stuff!). There has been lots of improvement since! Infact I feel comfortable enough that I will probably relax my hairline, for the first time in many monthes, when I do my next re-touch.
