Ok...I must confess. In the back on the right side I have a section of thin ends that's about 2 to 3 inches wide. At first it wasn't that noticable, but now that my hair is getting longer you can really tell ... more than that no matter what I do that last 1 inch of that area feels really dry and brittle...almost crispy.

It's camophlaged slightly now after washing with AVEDA (this product did more for this area than anything before) Yet, I'm thinking maybe it's just time to cut and get rid of that area and move on with thick full ends all the way around.

What do you ladies think?

Also does anyone have the link to the Cut It/Trim it till it's even results thread?

Thanks

Chayil

I'm sorda in the same situation.....before my relaxer I put creme in my hair to help prevent damage: wat I didn't realize is that I got some creme on my scalp: so when I applied the relaxer: u kno: my hair came right out. so in the back of my head: i have about 1 1/2 inch of hair in an area about 2-3 inches wide and about 1-2 inches long. I will continue to baggy and when that area hits about APL: I'll cut the rest of my hair that length and let it grow to BSL.

Chayil, long as my residual no-lye relaxer thinner ends are healthy, not split, responding to protein and moisture....I'll continue to dust only and keep my length intact. My new discovery of NEXXUS layered with SALERM LEAVE IN AND CANTU shea BUTTER DAILY...plus a sparing SURGE 14 spritz......I'm alrighty.

I have a couple of thin end sections too. I plan on bunning my hair more often and I will be dusting those areas monthly until I bring it back to where it needs to be.

Hi Gymfreak.. What is dusting? Sorry, I'm new to the site and still learning the lingo..

Dusting is a way of trimming in which you go through your hair and cut individual split ends instead of trimming all your hair.
