The woman took off my left eyebrow!! DON\'T LAUGH!

I got a wash/set as usual. I asked the woman to wax my eyebrows (which I hate because it's hurts) so that I could look my best for a girlfriends wedding tomorrow, well she did my right one first then my left (using the same cloth or whatever it's called) and now I'm left without a eyebrow. She panicked, I went into SHOCK!! for about 10 minutes and then I cried thinking about how in the world would I function in this cruel world without an eyebrow. I called my mom while still in that chair and my mother suggested they take the other one off, I have beautiful eyebrows I just can't imagine WILLINGLY having another one removed.

Of course I didn't pay. After I calmed down I told the manager that they would have to pay for a full head weave so that I can have hair draped over my eye. Here's a picture of what I need http://www.fourstarchef.com/aaliyah.jpg

Why can't you pencil your brow back in? I mean is they entire brow completely gone? If you still have a little arch left you should be able to pencil or paint it back in. Use a pencil and then take some clear mascara using a small lip brush and lock those babies in.. it will last all day.. I wax mine off pretty thin and then use a semi permenant eyebrow color that I order and it stays on for about 3 days.

The brow is gone, I have lil left on the very end but arch and all is gone. I have a wedding today that I guess I'm going to miss. I woke up this a.m. and felt my brow to see if the nightmare had ended.

Draw it in! orrrrrrr They do sell fake eyebrows for cancer patients and things. Depending on where you live.... maybe you could place a few calls and find a set.

Sorry to her about your eyebrow. You could pencil it on with short feathery strokes. Also I'm sorry you're going to miss the weddding but if your eyebrows grow fast by next Sunday's meeting you could have quite a bit of growth. Help those babies along by rubbing vitamin E and castor oil on them every night. Hope you feel better.

Poor baby! Good news, it will grow back before you know it. Eyebrows grow pretty quickly. However, u need a quick fix. As I suggested in my PM, try to pencil the eyebrow freehand, using a sharp, water proof pencil. Get a color like blackest brown, it's softer than jet black. Then use small, light, hair like strokes to make a believable brow. Set w/loose translucent powder. Take your time. The slower you do it, the better it will turn out. Draw a few "hairs" in, pause, step back from the mirror and look. Remember to keep your strokes light, and you may need to resharpen as your creating your brow. Another tip is to make 3 small "guide-line" dots ... one where you want the brow to begin, one where you want the arch to be, and one where you want it to end. That should keep you on track.
And neva-eva-eva-eva let that place wax your brows again. Shame on them! And make sure you tell all your friends not to go there either!

Oh no!!! I agree with Caramela's advice. I just had a brow shaping last night and the woman said that a trick is to after using the pencil, follow by setting with a loose powder using a brush. It softens the pencil lines and sets what you did.

Never use a black pencil. Too unnatural. Get a dark brown.
I read a tip from Allure mag that many brow salons suggest dabbing on Rogaine with a q tip nightly on brow hair spaces and the hair grows back in those areas.

I agree with everyones advice, I would also add that to speed up the growing back phase apply castor oil every night. I had an eyebrow mishap and the castor oil helped alot!

thx gals, the castor oil and vit e is really good advice, my mom is going to pencil it in for me. i took a pic, so soon u can see a before and after and then you can laugh, this stuff only happens to me, boy the stories i have.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened. I think the ideas about penciling in really work. Hold strong on making them get you a full head weave. These places need to learn to take their seriously and SLOWLY so they don't mess up.

ouch! and I thought I was having bad Pre-Wedding Attending episodes! I'm sorry about your brow.. makes my trouble with gappy ends seem petty! Personally, if it were me I would have the woman show me what it would look like penciled in and if it were ok and the other brow didnt match I woud go on and take the other off also and grow them back evenly using the penciling to cover until they did. A brow covering weave is good also but one swift wind while walking!...

Okay well the end result is my mother has been penciling it in for me and showed me how, it doesn't look too noticeable I've been wearing a bang. Any suggestions on how I should have this place compensate me? Should I just asked for a few complimentary wash/sets?

I visited the salon again on Monday to discuss compensation and the manager happily said that they would provides services at no charge until they grew back. So I'm pleased.

kisz4tj I'm happy to hear that you found a temporary solution. Please don't let that discourage u from coming ot the meeting. I see lots of women who purposely shave their whole brows off and pencil them in- it looks good. Do that temporarily as suggested until they grow back.

SweetNic Ja, I'll be there. I'm using the penciled in tactic and it's barely barely noticeable. So I'm too self conscious anymore, the only thing is I didn't realize how much I touch my face during the day, a couple of times I've rubbed some of it off but nothing too bad.

Oh Snap... That's what I'm talking about.. savings.. I never even thought about ebay.. ya'll some resourceful sisters.

Thanks for sharing.. Now I can save me some money. I see it's more cheaper in a lot of places.. never thought about shopping around.

on a side note.. don't buy the remover.. Baby Wipes or soap, water and elbow grease work just as fine.
