The house of disappearing objects

I have a job interview today and I decided to diva smooth my hair before bed time.I can only do my hair when everyone is asleep cause otherwise i get interrupted ...gimme this , gimme that, do this , do that.

So at 4 am i started doing my hair. I rinsed it and blow dried it. I went to get my flat iron...It was gone. I searched high and low in my room. I started searching at 5 am and gave up just now its 9:28 am. My hair is huge an d puffy. This is the third interview where I can't go cause i cant even come out of my room looking half descent because my stuff keeps disappearing. Not to mentioned I'm not going to work either, I will call in sick whatever!I have had enough!!! I'm suspecting that my SIL took it.

It might not seem like a big deal but i invested 150$ for this flat iron and it made my hair looked impeccably straight and now its gone.

For those of you out there who love to take stuff that don't belong to you and make it your own. Y'all have no clue how something small can **** up someone 's day and affect them.

I sympathize with your problem of having your things moved. However, if you have had the problem previously, why wouldn't you make sure you have EVERYTHING you need before you start doing your hair? I lay out all my products and tools before I even take down my bun - and I don't have anyone in my house that would touch my supplies. I do that so I am sure I have enough of the product, that my flat iron is clean, etc.

On another note, if you are going to keep having this problem you need to find an alternative hair style or wig or some method of doing your hair on short notice. Missing work and/or job interviews over a hair style is pretty bad.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Things like that really aggravate me.

However, I do agree w/ Soulie about having a back-up wig or hairstyle that you can rock on short notice.

I hate when that happens, my sister does it all the time. I always prepare my hair the night before if I'm going out the next morning, and if I know my sister took something, I don't care if it's 3 in the morning a will burst into her room and beat her over the head with my pillow until I get it back .

Have you approached you SIL about the issue?

My daughter does this all the time. So annoying! I was in her room butt naked looking for my Affirm last weekend at 6AM. This is after i looked in the hallway bathroom shower and cabinet and searching my bathroom. I finally found it in the wardrobe in her bedroom. I can't tell you how angry i was. Thank goodness i could get directly in the shower and it cooled me off. Why can't people just put things back where they got it from??

I'm with Soulie. Hair is not going to stop me from getting paid. Especially in this economy. That's just stupid. You could have put your hair in a bun and called it a day.

Buy yourself a wig for those days when you feel like you have no other options. They've saved me many times.

Awwww man that's messed up! I have been looking for some seamless combs I paid a nice amount for and not 1 but 4 of them have vanished, along w/my son's school ties I can't find them no where neither.

I feel you on the seamless combs disappearing. I had 2 rattail combs and two medium size combs. Everytime my daughter asked or would sneak and use one of them, it would disappear. I am down to 1 large seamless comb. I keep that one hidden from my daughter.

I would never miss a job interview because my hair looked bad...there's gotta be SOMETHING you can do to it.
