Kinda hair related, but I'm driving my man crazy I think...

Last night we went out and partied a lil bit - (yeah, I'm just waking up now  )

Anyways, we saw this couple walk past. They were both white and looked pretty stylish. The woman was pretty and had blonde hair.

My bf SPOTTED her phony pony though.

Then he asked the woman something along the lines of "Is that a weave or a clip in?"

Mad loud, in the middle of a crowded street (we were sitting on a bench having a ciggy)

:lachen::lachen:

WTH is wrong with him?

She ignored him, but damn... that's messed up. I was just laughing at the time.

I take all the blame for it, he wouldn't know if it wasn't for me

I feel kinda bad for her now, that must have been embarrassing.

Did he actually ask that????:perplexed:perplexed thats kinda ..well um...ignorant :ohwell::ohwell:......no disrespect to ur bf........

Ask him how HE would have reacted if you were wearing a phony pony and someone called you out about it really LOUD. And teach him how to whisper!

One time some asked me. Is that your hair? I replied, "Yes, Why? did you loose yours?"

A co -worker who really did not know me.

I hope neither one of you were driving........ Again, if the tables were turned a white dude called you out in a crowd.....how would your boyfriend had reacted?........:ohwell: this was not cool or funny IMO

ITA...Or if a white guy asked if you straighten your hair.:ohwell: Just not cool, IMO! He is luck he didn't say that to a sister! :perplexed

I think she said in another thread that her boyfriend is white, unless I'm mistaken :look:

I am sorry but this is hilarious:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:It must not have been nice for that poor woman but it is sooo funny. This is why I don't wear wigs and the few times I have worn phoney ponies I was always terrifed someone would pull it off or it would fall off. Why the paronoia? On my wedding day my half wig fell off (the one time I decided to wear a wig) while I was running into the hall where the wedding was being kept (I was late). Luckily only a few people saw it fall off as it was just before I entered the hall. I was too panicked to feel embarrassed because I was so late.

Funnily enough my DH has started to say if someones hair looks nice or not (he did not before, but I am always talking about hair with him, even though I know he finds it boring I think its rubbing off). The other day we had a double date with his friend and his friends wife. We had a discussion (when they could not hear us) regarding wether his friends wifes hair was a weave or not. He insisted it was a good weave and I was trying to convince him it was her hair (she has thick, midback length relaxed hair). He was the designated driver and he kept looking in the rearview mirror at this womans hair, trying to figure out if it was real:look: (I was right, it was her real air). I wanted to ask her if she was Nicos cousin but felt too shy/embarrassed.

Thanks for this, Zeal. I have now found my official response to the question "Is that your hair?" If I am wearing a wig, I'll omit the YES part... and just say Why, did you lose yours?

I love it!! :lachen:

This just reminds me of a quote I heard on the Michael Baisden Show. "You don't have to put out someone else's light, in order for yours to shine." I'm sure he didn't mean any harm, but you never know how she might have taken that.
