of EVOO. I just started using it on my hair Tuesday, and i DO notice that my hair does feel softer.. but can any of you ladies tell me some other benefits of using EVOO on your hair? My mother almost fell out her chair when i told her I took a bottle of her olive oil for my hair so I want to tell her why, because she thinks that it's all in my head.

My guess is that olive oil provides the same coating hence slip on hair as a conditioner would (coz it doesn't wash off easily...not as easily as coconut anyway). And because it's an oil, it also gives your hair a nice shine. If you do a search for olive oil, you'll find it's been used for years as a hair conditioner either by itself or as an ingredient in many recipes.

okay so i did a google search on EVOO, and showed it to mi madre, and she scoffed and said "well the only reason it's good for your hair is because it gets blessed!" (she gets her olive oil blessed by our pastor every time she buys a bottle)

she just didnt want to admit she was wrong
