Ok I took the advice that it would come out fine with no setting lotion and went for the oil and water method and it turned out great nice and fluffy like i was going for! after washing and dcing i rinsed and applyed natural oasis spray oil to my hair all over and parted it down the middle and began rolling from the back to the front. the onli problem was that my hair wouldnt stay wet because of the oil so i constantly had to respray each section. Nonetheless after rolling each side and sitting under the dryer for 45 mins then wrapping i had great success...Oooo and i onli had to straighten my edges with the ceramic iron :grin:

Beautiful. I have yet to have a satisfying rollersetting. It usually comes out a bit dry and the ends stick together. But I still do it. Flat ironing my hair always gave me healthier looking results but causes split ends so I try to stay away from it.

Can you tell me what you did?

I don't use setting lotion either. Except on my mom's hair. She likes the extra curl. I think the setting lotion can make the hair more difficult to roll and detangle.

I've never heard of doing a rollerset without lotion. Your hair looks great, t's inspiring me to find out more and perhaps givee it a whirl.

I don't use setting lotion either. My curlformer sets come out nice and fluffy. The only issue I have is that the curls do not last as long as I would like.

Very pretty- I agree, my rollerset was a little crunchy - and I used LB Wrap and Tap.

I wonder how it will work with a leave in only?

I learned the "no setting lotion" lesson last rollerset...my hair was turned out rough and tangly....I don't plan on using it again!

Great job. The color fits you.

I need to try the no setting lotion trick. Hopefully it'll come out as good as yours.

Great job! I had a crunchy rollerset and have not done one since but I think I will give it a try again. What color is that on your hair? It is gorgeous.
