I want to color again! My first color experience went ot well adn my hair responded so well I want to go lighter!!! For those that are color experts (ahem...cough cough TRACY) how long should I wait before going lighter? Probably Summer huh?

When was the last time you colored? Can you just use a rinse like Sebsatian color shine? Since your hair is lighter now it should probadly hold up well with the color rinse.

A sebastian colorshine woul not give me the color I want. I wan ti it LIGHT. Almost as light as Mary J and Bey. I colored what about 8 or 9 weeks ago.

I wouldnt color previously colored hair, toooo much damage. Well when I get my color retouched it always lightens my color for some reason anyway. I only color my hair once a year, so thats probably why

You can re-color (CAREFULLY) but you do have to wait. At least until the end of the winter. Go with Spring or Summer of next year. You won't listen, I know /images/graemlins/rofl.gif - but that's what I think.

You wrong girl you wrong. I am going to listen...watch....

what about streaks? Ha ha I am going to be good!

Hey Tonya, you ever think putting highlights throughout your hair as opposed to going lighter all over? It would give you lighter affect but since less hair will be double-processed, it would mean less damage...just a thought. /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

That's a great idea that MC gave. I was thinking of it before, but forgot to edit my post. I think that color you're thinking you want, would be better if you used the base you have and added highlights. I think any lighter will be too light. I know - I did it. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

And even if you do get highlights....YOU SHOULD WAIT! /images/graemlins/orders.gif /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif

Yes maam. I am going to wait. I will admit....I am going to get tempted but when I do...should I start a post....direct me to my hair cut pics please.....I guess I will jsut concentrate on getting this texturizer together and maintaining some length.
I agree with you both...I think highlights will be better than the WHOLE head,

ooh tonya, i just saw the color, it looks nice /images/graemlins/smile.gif. its okay to do the new growth ONLY every 6 weeks. but if you are planning on switching colors, you will have two toned head. if you wait the 6 months, you can probably do the whole head. being that its a reddish color, the new growth won't it won't look so noticeable in the upcoming months if you decide to wait. I hope I get sometime this weekend to post my hair color pictures. I just have to get someone to take the pictures /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Haircolor??? Beverly you colored your hair???? Where have i been? What color did you use?

I think I am going to be a good girl and jsut touch up. Though it has been 6 weeks. I am going to wait a little longer. I think. But I ma not coloring until the spring/summer and when I do it...I am going to highlight for the summmer.....if i ma not dark again by then. I know I know...I am quite fickle.

Oh yeah....thanks for the compliment!! /images/graemlins/kiss.gif

Tonya that color is hot! It's got me itching to recolor my hair, what color is that you used? I'm thinking about highlighting with T&T Bronze or doing a duo toned Bronze on top black at the bottom, I like that look...kind of like Lorraine's and Mermaid's hair. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Kenesha! I used the Famous T and T bronze!
BTW I am joining your on the April or bust....except I want Collarbone.

You'll make it by April I'm sure. I'm loving your rollersets! I think that in the spring, I'm going to do the two-toned dye thing. I'll stick with rinses for the winter! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks girl! My rolelr sets are an everday battle. Because of my texturizer they are frizzier or puffier than I am used to....but I like big hair so I guess it is ok.

Hey Tonya /images/graemlins/wave.gif I colored it like 2 months ago, /images/graemlins/sekret.gif I had some issues though, some of my hair broke off ( just a tad), but I still have my length, and I do like the color so I'd do it again. I meant to say I did highlights when I said color. It broke off for two reasons, #1 its really long so its like 3 year-old hair on my head, and I probably just need to cut it but I don't wanna /images/graemlins/smile.gif.#2 this was the second time I highlighted it, the 1st time was in Nov 2003.. I used T T honey blond the 2nd time. The 1st time I used T T bronze /images/graemlins/smile.gif

sbaker - hmm, its a color thats hard to describe, its an orangy and bronzy color, I'll post pics, once I find someone to take them for me /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I bet it is beautiful! I can't wait to see pics...u are bra strap and beyond now right? Your hair is your avi is gorgeous by the way.

Hey Y'all - I finally put the latest pictures of my hair color in the photogallery!

Beverly.....your hair is GORGEOUS! I LOVE your highlights....Now I am wishing I had done highlights (as Tracy suggested) instead of my whole head......
