Okay, let's try this again. I just wanted to say thanks to the ladies of this board for all of your hair advice. Below is a comparison pic from when I first joined the board a few months ago to September, just before I started wearing braids. I'll just place the link below since the image doesn't seem to want to show up.
Thanks KAddy. It's been so long since I posted. My original message didn't appear either, and I'm too lazy to write it over again. /images/graemlins/rofl.gif
That's a variation of my trademark "Sandy-do." After I took down the bantu knots, I just gather together a bunch of bobby pins and keep pinning up the curls until it looks right. I do the same after a roller set. This worked well, especially when my hair was very thin--no one knew.
SandySea!!! I'm so glad to see you posting!!! /images/graemlins/clap.gif Your hair is looking so full and thick...I love it!!! /images/graemlins/up.gif

LOL! It's like I can hear Sister Sledge bumping through the speakers! "I got all my sisters and me....hey..hey...sing it y'all...everybody get up and sing!"
Out of all of the posts I have read lately, I really needed to see yours today. I am new to the board and am starting out with peek-a-boo thin hair. Seeing your progress was the inspiration I needed to keep going...thank you for making my day. /images/graemlins/rosebud.gif
Thanks so much for the encouragement ladies. I have admired all of your albums for months, that's what inspired me to not give up on my hair. I even got some friends into the LHCF thing.
Sharee, be encouraged. Remember, hair grows on its own, we just have to be nice to what we already have. You won't even notice the difference as it grows in. Just give your hair some TLC. For me that meant braids, it's different for everyone. Having fragile hair, I've been in the peek-a-boo stage more times that I can count. That's when my dad gave me the verse in my signature to let me know that God cares about even the hairs on my head. Be encouraged!!!
P.S.--Sharee, I just looked at your album and your hair is far from peek-a-boo thin. It looks good to me. But, we do tend to be our own worst critic. Keep on lovin' your hair and it will love you back.

If wear my hair like your before picture it looks the exact same. It is really thin from postpartum shedding and overprocessing with perms. Hopefully like you I can get it to thicken a little. Thank you for the encouragement! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
