One more suggestion, maybe one sticky telling everyone that the stickies have been detatched and where they can find them or even adding the links to those old sticky's in the thread-temporarily? People are going to be lost in the sauce without some of them.

They shouldn't because:

1. I asked for them to be moved to a seperate thread, not to be removed as sticky's.

2. I'm sure you didn't go through ALL of that just because of my suggestion ALONE.

3. It's all good though, cuz I can go off on people through PM's!!! Just kidding!!! Unless someone really does come to me wrong!!

Well, Allandra just said that there will not be a seperate forum for sticky's. But I guess, everyone else was complaining about the sticky's-I must have missed those posts.

Anywho, a suggestion for the mods; Maybe you can grant newbies/ppl who don't pay the fee, the option to use the search function. It isn't availabe to non subscribers. My only concern is that the number of redundant post will only increase, which I have seen a lot of members complain about that.

Well, most new members don't read every single thread on the forum prior to posting. Therefore, the LHCF is bound to get some repeat threads. It happens, and we don't mind because it's ok.

I am pretty sure a few people will like to help out on this. I thought I was just trying to help. None of the stickies really benefited me, but I always thought sticky's were sticky's for a reason-so many people posted in them and/or asked for them to be sticky's.

Anyone know the names of the sticky's? Maybe that can give someone a head start. It's 11:00 PM where I am at, I got a two year old behind me who I need to put IN the bed (why this baby is up and it is waaaay pass his bedtime arrrgh ) I really can't do this tonight, but if anyone is willing to help me out tomorrow, fair game?

i think it'd be a bit much to have 5-6 post links in a siggy (for some) that's nearly overflowing with pictures, regimens and other such personal info.

i've counted about 6 pages (at around 20 posts per page) of new posts, per day. that's alot of babysitting for those who really do want to help a new member or <insert any particular situation here>. it also keeps down the repetive questions.

there's already a comment in the combo-sticky request that potential members and newbies actually look for and use the information in those threads.

so, even though folks that have been around for a minute don't need it, new members do AND appreciate it. just the number of views and positive comments in the threads themselves testify to that.

i just think it's a disservice to others that they have to search for info they don't even know exists and would be a huge benefit to other people if administration would seriously consider adding a combo-type sticky (or something erplexed).

btw, a search engine is not 100% perfect on either the websites' or the users end. if some people are on a low bandwidth isp or dialup, it's gonna take them forever to get a proper result, if they even get it at all.

i'm on a 5/386 isp and sometimes that engine or my connection will get so jammed up that even i get the occasional blank page.

This is exactly the reason why threads were made stickied in the 1st place: people kept posting within the thread that it should be a sticky, so it was made that way. Not every thread was made to be a sticky, just the overwhelmingly popular ones (or it should've been that way, ideally).

Just getting my lil piece in...

I would refer to the stickies from time to time...all I'ma say...it really does feel like a chunk is missing from there....I saw those stickies for over two years....everybody knew where to look old and new and now dey gone from that spot....dey gone...
