I'm sure the ladies are going to just make a "sticky's" forum. That's what my suggestion was, I think. I know that it was to move them to a different location, not to delete them.

I'd made the suggestion to make a "Frequently Asked or Information" sticky forum, that would include DSD, Sistaslick and a few others great and valuable info. Also, the suggestion to make a Henna sticky, since that is really, really popular.

ETA: Also a sticky with subforums for how-to-..... Stuff such as rollersetting, wrapping, flexirods, etc.

Allandra responded to another thread saying that the transitioners thread is no longer a sticky, but it could be searched. So maybe they just removed them from being sticky's.

What one person are you referring to?? I asked for the sticky's to be moved to a seperate forum just for sticky's NOT for them to be removed as sticky's. And from the looks of the other posts, there were several other ladies that wanted the space of all the sticky's to be used for our posts.

FYI: We just can't make everything a sticky. Some members will like this, and some members won't like this. Also, we can't make a forum for everything. It's just not possible.

Have you guys, Bev & the Mods, thought of reorganizing the board a bit. Keeping the most informative stuff together in a Frequently Asked Forum - for informational purposes only - with no new posting allowed to those threads. The sticky's were great!

Well, Allandra just said that there will not be a seperate forum for sticky's. But I guess, everyone else was complaining about the sticky's-I must have missed those posts.

Anywho, a suggestion for the mods; Maybe you can grant newbies/ppl who don't pay the fee, the option to use the search function. It isn't availabe to non subscribers. My only concern is that the number of redundant post will only increase, which I have seen a lot of members complain about that.

sigh......same with sista's 411.

i thought maybe subscribing to the thread would help but that ain't gonna cut it.

we could:

1. bookmark it
2. keep bumping it
3. beg for a transitioners forum - although i don't think it'd be nearly as much fun or productive (aka getting lost in the multitude of other forums here (not that i don't luv 'em all).
4. constantly post transitioning "update posts" from individuals, re-searching and rebumping for those needing the sista's 411.
5. manually write down the titles of the threads and work that search engine.

One more suggestion, maybe one sticky telling everyone that the stickies have been detatched and where they can find them or even adding the links to those old sticky's in the thread-temporarily? People are going to be lost in the sauce without some of them.
