Does anyone in Atlanta know someone who can put in texturizers. Who will not overprocess the hair. Know about timing. Know what the HELL they are doing. I go back and forth from wanting to be natural to getting a relaxer. But, I am really want to find a great person that know texturing.

Sorry I just left that neck of da woods and I need the same info. Let me know if you find out anything.

You can try Salon 78 in Lilburn. They call their texturizers a "silkener" just like at Curve. I've never had a texturizer there, but I used to go there to get Curly Pudding and Buttercreme. The lady who does it is texturized as well.

I got my hair texturized by a lady in College Park trained in the Wash N Wear method. She was good about not overprocessing. However, I don't think she is taking on new clients. Even though I'm letting my texturizer grow out, I'd still recommend her because she knows a lot about natural hair.

Caltron what is the name of the shop and sytlist you use in College Park ?

The name of the salon is Divine Perfections and you should ask for KayC. The number is 770-997-7540.

I really liked KayC because she does take time with your hair to make sure it does not get overprocessed. When my hair grows out some, I am going to her for some of her other natural services. She is very talented.

Is she expensive? I would like to try some of her natural services, my sis would use her for texturizing.

She's very reasonable. I was thinking about getting twists. I don't remember exactly how much she charged, but it was definitely not expensive.

Caltron, was that Candace? I'm asking because she told me her hair is natural.

Yeah, I think that's what her name was. So she is natural? Her hair really looked processed to me. I mean it looks good--just not natural.

I just called Salon 78 and they wanted to charge $85.00 for a texturizer. Plus they said they don't use Affirm or Mizani because they dry the hair. They use Essations. I never even heard of that. Does anyone know anymore ATL stylist that are good.
