I'm a little confused about this whole texturizing thing. I realize that it is just a mild relaxer that loosens your curl and dosn't relax all the way. But is there any way to completely change the texture of your curls? For example, I am a 4b. Is there any way to get a texturizer and get curls like....for example...jennifer freeman on my wife and kids? (I think I know the answer to that, but I had to take a shot:)

I'm also a little confused about a texturiser, are you saying that a mild relaxer is the same thing as those scurl texturiser kits?

All I can think of is a curly perm (jheri curl) with large rods. But you can't do this on top of a relaxer. You'll have to start all over again with natural hair.

If your hair is relaxed try a spiral rod or flexi rod set.

Thanks sassy! I'm not loving the idea of a curl so I think I'll just go with the spiral set.

By the way (for anyone who knows)...I have one more question...once my hair is bra strap length and longer and I wanted that look, is there any way to acheive that without heat? There are no flexi rods that long are there?

With flexis, you are wrapping your hair around the stick, so the length of the stick doesn't matter. Only thing is, once your hair gets that long, it may take longer for it to dry on the flexis.

oh! i get it now. thanks!

I'm able to get spiral curls similar to a straw set with out the straws(and more natural looking)by twisting the hair between my index finger and thumb and the seperating them when they dry.

You're welcome. When my hair was relaxed I wanted to try Sassy Curlers, but I never got around to ordering them...
