I used it once because I use the color and I wanted to try to use the same relaxer brand as the brand of color I was using. I burned me quite badly. I would rate it a 1. Anything that burns me that badly loses on all other fronts as well. I used the Mild. I'll never touch it again!

I used it a long time ago when it first came out and it burned me almost right away. It's horrible.

I didn't burn, but it did nothing for my hair. If you are natural and want your hair mildly relaxed, this would work well.

i used the textures and tones conditioning lye relaxer and the colorgloss...and...i loved them. the relaxer left my hair smooth, conditioned, shiny, and silky! as a matter of fact i'm due for my touch up on the 19th and i will be using the perm and color again. give the perm a try you may be very pleased w/the outcome!

Honey, I used this in my hair (took it to the salon at that!!!) and it did nothing for my hair. My hair laughed at that relaxer:D

. I do want to try the color though....

I tried this relaxer about a year or so ago and it didn't really work for me. It left my hair very underprocessed and it seemed to lighten my hair to a reddish color. I think that I used the regular strength.

hi prettygirl! I'm sorry I missed this post. I have nothing but good things to say about texture and tones! I used it for my daughter's hair for her touch up 2 months ago and it was the answer to our prayers! Her hair is thick and resistant, healing from damage done by no lye relaxers, and just wouldn't get straight with other's I've tried. Even the hair stylists couldn't get my daughter's hair straight! Anyway, my sister recommended texture and tones. I used the super strength! Yes super! And it got my daughter's hair straight, shiny, and silky too! She is NOT experiencing any breakage or hair loss from this either. I looooove that relaxer and that's what I plan on using for her next touch up!

btw...she has type 4A/B relaxed hair

Stormy, Do you think that relaxer would work for my daughter's hair. She is 2a/b very thin. I don't want to relax straight anymore, I want to leave a slight wave in here hair. Do they have mild formula?

Yes I think they do have a mild formula, but I wouldn't recommend it for your daughter's hair. For that type I would recommend Motions or QP Elasta, either one in mild strength.
