I believe it's when a relaxer is applied for only a short amount of time to help loosen up the natural texture but not necessarily straighten the hair completely. I'm sure if you do a search you will find tons of info

My hair is texlaxed. I only leave the relaxer in for 5 - 10 minutes with very little smoothing
