Okay, I really dont know what this mean for sure. But, I THINK it means to apply a relaxer on for only half the time to get texture to the hair but....? Someone can help me with this? I want to apply a relaxer because my hair is like really bad right now. I was gonna try to transition but I'm losing a lot of hair nothing is working. I do know, when I relax I have minimal breakage. Anyways, if anyone can give me some tips oh how I would go about doing this that would be great! I am also thinking about trying the Silk Relaxer I have been reading about lately on the board, is this a good one to use when Texlaxing?

On another note I would love to try the Mizani, but I went to their site and you have to be licensed to get their stuff? How do you girls go about getting the products?

Thanks!!

Hi CalJay, I go to a stylist to get texlaxed only because I wanted to make sure it was put on and taken off evenly. Once you mess up you can't go back. If you are applying yourself, make sure it is only on the NG otherwise you will be overprocessing your hair. If I were you I would do a hot oil treatment and a deep condition for at least an hour or more. Then shower comb with the water and put hair in a pony tail or bun, tie it up in a scarf to dry. Every night spray a little water and rebun at least until you KNOW you have well over an inch to relax.

Hey I just want to say Thanks for replying and for the tips! Maybe I should go to see THE stylist. There is only one in this area and she isn't cheap. But, I don't want to ruin the hair. I really thought I could transition, but I'm not liking it right now. I cut off a few inches and everything, maybe I will try again when I can commit to it fully. Thanks again!

Hi, I too am texturized. I do it with my relaxer at home. My process is listed in my journal. The link is in my signature.

Let me know if you need anything.
