Here I grow again!
38 wks post. Planning to texlax today. @gym working out now. Can I texlax after working out?

Yeah I was going to say no too. But I think I may have done this before. I think I just made sure my hair and sweat dried before applying. And way to go w/ the 38wks...have you gone this long before?

Never, girl. I'm just hoping my hair held up well after reading janeemat's thread on a six month stretch ruining her hair. longest I've gone before was 14 wks...and that was out of laziness. :look:

What's your process for texlaxing? I Love your progress its amazing!

And yes I have been hair stalking you:lachen:

I can't wait to see your progress Njoy! Congrats on stretching so long. I'm still hanging on and determined to turn this stretch into a transition. I have not done a texlax touch-up from fear. I have a lot of new growth and never self-texlaxed this much hair before. I pray you have beautiful results.

I remember being told if you sweat the day of a relaxer, you could burn, but if you make sure your hair is dry, and maybe oil your scalp that may help.

Thanks, girl.
I coat my previously relaxed strands (mix of neutralizer, conditioner and oil and/or Vaseline). I mix wheatgerm oil and SAA into relaxer and apply. I rely on the oil to slow down processing so, I may take 20 mins to get it all in.
Next steps:
Rinse well, protein/reconstructor, rinse, neutralize/chelate (Quantum), rinse, ACV rinse (just to make sure), neutralizing poo again (just to make sure), rinse, PC or K-Pak, rinse, DC w/heat, rinse. Done.
May sound like a lot but, it reassures me that the chemicals and mineral deposits are out, my hair’s strengthened , cuticles are behaving and then a yummy moisturizing DC.
I'll be texlaxing in halves this time. NG is crazy.

Omggggggg. I can't wait to see your progress pictures. Dammit why did you have to work out today? How selfish of you.

I will not pretend I've been stretching this long out of sheer willpower. Some of it is that I've been proccupied and some, I've been inimidated by how MUCH needs to be relaxed. But, janeemat has me worried with her "My 6 month stretch ruined my hair" post. So, I'm gonna suck it up and see what happens.

Thanks for the prayers. I'm gonna need 'em. :look: I'm definitely texlaxing tomorrow (or maybe tonight anyway) tho. I think basing the scalp will be fine. I don't burn easily.
