For everyone that's tried Hibiscus powders or products tell me some of u'r results, and how you've used it. I've heard good things about it myself and are considering buying some in the future. Possibly to use with my Ayurverdic powders or Henna mixtures. Thanks in advance :yep:

I love hibiscus with my shikakai 'n' brahmi paste. It helps add lots of moisture, slip, shine and softeness. It also helps smooth out the cuticles it seems like henna does. Add it to Henna for extra conditioning and moisture.

I love Hibiscus, when I tried to mix it in my cond. pastes it turned them runny. Now I use it in my Ayurvedic teas. It gives my hair wonderful slip, as well as leaving it soft and moist. Just be careful because it stains.

I've mixed hibscus powder with coconut oil and used it as a pre poo. That was the softest my hair has ever felt. I haven't done this in awhile. I'm going to have to put it back in my reggie.

Hmm, I'm not getting any slip from hibiscus anything! Now throw me my marshmallow root powder and we can have a party.

^^^ No slip for me. The benefits are seen after I rinse it out. My hair is extra soft and moisturized.

Hibiscus (aka Jaswand) smells awesome, softens, mildly cleansing yet moisturizing, darkens and thickens hair, good for adding in henna to enhance redness (if you like that sort of thing). I like using it in my ayurvedic rinses.

what about the flower? Can it be used in the same way? Do I just heat it with the oil and let it sit?? TIA!

Hey Sunbubbles, I heard you soak them in oils too. I happened to found the powder on the net and ordered some.

So far I like it mixed with my Ayurvedic - Henna treatments. I make sure to use Amla also, the redish hue is powerful! it truely colors the hair and what little gray I have or had.

My hair feels more conditioned :yep: Can't say i've noticed a lot more moisture :nono:...yet

I've used it 3 times already. It will be a staple with my Ayurveda treatments for sure.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that hibiscus powder can be quite gritty (the grains aren't very fine). It could just be my powder, though.
