I am SOOOOO upset right now. I just took my weave style out and the whole middle right side matted on me!!!! this has NEVER happened to me before and I have left weaves in for like almost 3 months!!! this was only in for 1!!! I don't know what to do or what to expect at all!!! I managed to get the knots out with a heap of conditioner...I know I lost a lot of hair...i think if it looks too ridiculous when i get a tu I will just b/c it to a bob or something I don't know what to do!!!..help!!!

Did you use a different glue to put it in?

Do this. Try using the kids shea butter detangler and some veg oil. soak your hair in this overnight. Get up in the morning and attempt to either do it under running water or without. But other than that I won't provide anymore advice. Cause if my hair TANGLES to much I'll do a BC!:lachen: I've done it before :lachen:. But I hope all goes well for ya.

I know you're scared, but try to take your time & salvage what u can.

can u try a great detangling spray, conditioner w/great slip & a big comb to detangle?

So you already detangled your hair? I suggest that you airdry it and then you will be able to better determine the damage. Trustfully sometimes all that hair can scare you to thinking it worst than it is. HTH. Sorry to hear about this. Do you know why this happened this time?

What kind of weave did you put in? Sew-In or Glue? Always if it was a glue what type of glue? Maybe you can use the glue remover to help get the tangles out which could be caused by the glue.

Also you might not have that much damage. It could just be thinner on one side. But, that is actually a natural occurence on everyones head. One side is thinner than the other (scientifically proven too).

And if you do fee the need to cut, think about doing something stylish. Asymmetrical bob or shaving off one side...that would be hot. Turn this into a victory..take it to a more impressive and expressive level.

Oh no don't do that! Take your time with the decision to save what you can. Don't give in. I see you are almost or at MBL. Don't chop. Soak it very very well and get up and work it though.

As others have suggested, I would put a lot of conditioner and vegetable oil in the hair. Let it sit overnight. Try to detangle your hair with fingers first, as much as you can, then use a comb. Good luck!!!!

I agree with the other ladies- use a detangler and oil and leave it in overnight.

I'm so sorry that this has happened to you and I pray that it isn't as bad as it may seem right now. :bighug:.

thank all you ladies...yeah i had a TON of HE condish in it and was just working as gentle as i could to get that stuff out...i did manage to get it...luckily i have no bald spot I lost some hair i know it's going to be thinner but this happened on the right side and the left side thinned out because of a stretching mishap at the beginning of the year (all these lessons back to back) I guess they're better learned at this length than longer though...I've just resigned to rollersetting it back to healthy...no braids no super long stretches no tons of product...like everybody says KISS..........just rollersets, protective styles, vitamins, MN/OCT and deep conditioners!!! well i'll save some money!!!...i'll post some pics of the "damage" can't really tell because it's damp and there's no bald spots or even short spots it probably just thinned (more) but it'll grow out!!! once again..thank you ladies!!!!!!!

My sister had a similar problem with her extensions. But I got her to put humecto all over it and sleep in it overnight. The next day, it was a lot easier to come out and she didn't lose much hair.
So you're on the right track! God bless!

i'm happy to hear that...i should've left it overnight but i had to be in school early the next morning and not with a big matt mess in my hair!!!...Luckily a friend of mine at school inspected it yesterday adn she was like it's not bad at all...so i don't think i lost much of anything (thank GOD!!!) welp lesson learned!!
