Taking the hair color plunge

I have decided to get my hair colored. I have made the appointment for the second week in April. Unfortunately after, the D.C. metro meeting, I wish my stylist would color my hair before the meeting but she wants to wait at least three weeks. It's been almost three years since I put color in my hair so I am a little nervous. In the past, my hair has always broken off after I had the chemicals put in. My hair is dark brown now and I just wanted to liven it up a little. My hair stylist is going to lift my hair and put a magohany rinse on my hair. Any advice on taking care of colr treated hair.

Since your going in three weeks deep condition for three weeks before the colour. After my colour I conditioned everyday for two weeks after.
Depending on your hair you may not have to do everyday but maybe weekly for a month.
