Taking my Braids Down- LOVING MY HAIR

Hey ya'll,
just started taking my braids down- my hair was so silky and shiny underneath! Oh how I missed my hair- I can't wait to play with it and pamper it with all the crap I bought anticipating this moment! My hair goals definitely are in plain sight. I was gonna do an Aphogee treatment and start surge- i still might, but I don't want to over do the protein.
Just wanted to share a happy moment!

That's wonderful. I've been wearing braids for the past year and two months and every time I see my hair I'm excited by how long it's getting. And since I joined the hair boards in June, I love feeling how soft my hair is once I take my braids down.
Keep up the good work, you'll be at your goal in no time!!!

What kind of braids did you have (box,cornrolls..)? And what did you use to take them down..is this the somthing that made the come down so soft?

i had box braids- i didnt use anything but my two hands. it could be because i had a trim and a blowout right before, and used my homemade shea/cocoa conditioner right before i got the braids. but also, while wearing them, i made my own braid spray (water, apricot oil, rosemary oil) that i used constantly. i actually got great growth. i owe a lot to hair boards!
