Ok confess up ladies.....who is taking your hair photos. I take them by myself but my angles be completely off or the length shot is horrible. How do you get that good back shot?

Is it someone else? Special camera? Perfect Angle?

I stretch out my arms its entire length, at varying degrees around my head... and take the shot.

Or I ask my 6-year-old to help. She's gotten pretty good.

I need to re hire my photographer

my daughter, she always complained too much though

not sure if she quit or got fired :lachen:

But I think Im gonna be needing her services again, its getting tricky taking pics now lol

What's up with the kids not cooperating:lachen:. My son who is 17 always says, "Oh dang, not again":lachen:. If I ask my SO to take the pic, it looks like a crackhead took the pic for me, so I start snapping like 50/11 times until I can get a decent shot, if not then I have to go to my backups:lachen:.

you can't find good help these day I need to pay my lil bro in candy and loose change to take my pcs for me after all i do for the boy!!!

My son is only 3, the camera ends up taking a picture of the ceiling.

I just do them myself right now. I'm double jointed so maybe that helps LOL.

I take my own and I hate doing it. It takes so much time and I have to take like 50 pics just to get 2 or 3 decent ones and it dosen't help that I hate pictures of myself.

I just set my camera on a timer to take 3 quick snap shots. I put it on chester dresser and stand in front of it while it snaps pictures.

Don't all cameras (made after 2000) have a timer on it? *looks*

My hubs takes them sometimes but mostly its me. Like a pp said, I take 50-11 shots until I get a decent one.

I prefer people to take my pictures, but that has not happened since 2006. So I use the timer and a high shelf to take my pictures now.

I take myown. I think most cameras do have the timer.

I have a video recorder/camera that has a handle/grip and a screen I flip out. I cannot find a timer on that kind of camera yet and I have been looking through it's many menus since March. lol

I just balance on my shoulder and watch the screen the best way I can. Every now and then, DD will take one for me. Hubby hates to take even one shot, so I don't bother with him. Funny, because he loves to look at hair pics, but he hates to take them. Love him.:wallbash::grin: lol

I mostly do my own. I've gotten good at taking my own pics because I do it all the time anyway. I either use the timer or I just keep snapping away.

I usually take them myself , but the shelf and timer is a great idea!

(on a side note, do you notice that you take a lot of pictures of your hair now? When someone asks to see my camera or I offer to show someone a picture of my son or a special event, they always have that puzzled look once they see me scroll through all the random hair shots)

:lachen::lachen::lachen: I know what you mean, I haven't been able to take an undated pic because first of all, I suck taking them myself, they never turn out close to being presentable and my sis just gives me the eye and make up excuses :lachen:

I'll get her though, i really need an updated pic, my hair is so different and healthier from the one I have:rolleyes:

Yeah I got alot of head shots on my camera and sometimes I am very embarrassed to let someone use my camera.

My husband usually takes my pics but he is deployed for the next 6 mos. so I have my twin 6 yr olds doing it. Funny thing is that they fight over who is going to take the next pic cause they both like using my camera.

I mostly take them myself and spend a while in the bathroom just to get them right. I usually have my SO take the straight back shots for updates but he starts to complain and never get the shots right. I wish I had some shelves. I even tried to let my 5yr old but she turns the camera around and starts taking pics of herself....lol

Yes! I've been trying to remember to delete them once I upload.

How cute! Sounds like a future LHCFer in training:Flahsssss:giggle:

I use a double mirror or just angle it right. With times it's never the right position so I have to work on that more.

:giggle::giggle:Geeze....trying to get the hang of this! My children are away at school and to embrassed to ask my SO. I'm a newbie so all of this is new to him....I'm going to get his feet wet before I push him on in and have him taking hundreds of headshots :giggle:

I'm going to have to get my camera out cuz my phone sucks! How do you get that right light? The up close but still keeping the clarity?

Any helpful tips ladies?

My humble thanks!

There is this new camera with a lcd screen on both front and back. Want one :lick:
