Ok so for the past 2 months I've been using my growth aide: mn,megatek, sulphur powder, tea tree oil, on my scalp. I decided to give in to the creamy crack and get a relaxer last weds (8 week mark) because of all the new growth. When I did my rollersets and flat ironed the roots it flattened a little bit but it was still standing up lol. So I get to my moms house and I'm ret ta go! I'm thinking to myself "yea, I haven't scratched in a week so I'm good to go!" WRONG!! SO WRONG!! I remembered that I hadn't scratched but I forgot that when using sulphur or mn - can't remeber which, you're supposed to wait a week b4 and a week after. I had used the mix 2days b4 and even thought about using it the night b4 but I was too lazy, thank God!! When my mother did the left side everything was cool but theeeee minute she got to the right side my whole left side felt like I had a pan of chitlins fryin on my skull!!!!! It Hurt so bad and the same thing happened to the right side. I was near tears! Never felt pain like that from a relaxer. It was terrible. I had scabs all over my scalp, couldn't even run a comb thru it. I'm fine now. But ladies please pay attention to all warnings and cautions so u don't end up like a fried plantain or worse lol. Hhg!!

LOL I'm sorry but

Omg! Your scalp must have been on fire! ....Frying chitlins? people really do that????

I'm sorry to hear about your experience and i hope you feel better!

Oh wow... Sorry ...But u were determined to relaxed. A sister like me would have had half of a texturized head. B/c I would have been rinsing and washing out right when the first half was on fire. Hahahah. No way I would put relaxer on the second half.

Aloe Vera will work great on your scabs and sores. Just don't pick them and your scalp will be feeling better soon

i agree with thsiw hole post. i would have been like whatever, and rinsed that crap out.

Oh wow! Yeah you gotsta be mo careful...but I'm glad you're better. I have been burned a few times in my day...never again. I said no more, well sometimes I get tempted but I think of monets like these and then I be like "I'm coo!" Sulphur ain't no joke. :( At least you lived to laugh about it. :o)

Sorry to hear about your mishap. I just marked my calendar when my next touch-up is due. If I hadn't read your post, I would have done the same thing.

Thanks for the warning because this is something I would do too.

Aloe vera is your best friend right now and steer clear of sulfates or shampoos with heavy scents.... let your scalp heal. Don't pick, scratch, comb close or brush hard either.
